Try this just, even just for a minute. You will be surprised how much a little mental vacation can help you.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in. Breathe in for 4 heartbeats, then breathe out for 4 heart beats. As you are breathing in and out clear your mind of everything. This is your time. Have no guilt, no distractions, this is time just for you. Do the breathing cycle 10 times. If your mind should wonder gently focus it back on your heart beats and breathing.
Now visualize you are on the most beautiful beach you have ever seen. The sand is soft and warm. Each step you take is like walking on rose petals. As you walk onto the beach you feel the cool breeze blowing gently on your face. A light mist from the sea spray lands on your skin with a cooling effect, yet it is warmed by the sun.
You hear the sound of the waves gently rolling upon the sand. With each footstep you get closer to the ocean, the smells and colors around you make you feel as if you are a part of nature. You feel light on your feet and peace transcends to your heart.
You stop at the water's edge allowing the warm waves to lap your feet. The foam from the ocean reaches out to touch you and is then taken by to join its cousins. The ocean breeze is refreshing and you breathe it in deeply revitalizing every cell of your body.
You stand there a few seconds more allowing the light to energize your soul. Take a deep breath and exhale. Let the light energize you. Allow the cool breeze to invigorate you.
It is now time to leave, but you do not feel sad. This is your special place and you will return again, feeling love, warm and peace. As you part this special place take one more deep breath and exhale.
