Self-esteem

What is self-esteem?

Self-esteem is a big word that grown ups use when you don't feel good about yourself. Self-esteem to me is the way I think others see me. Most of the time I do not think people see me for what I am, but then I remember I do not really know what other people are thinking. I am not in their brain so how can I know.

Don't listen to what other people say about you. If kids are making fun of you that just means they don't understand you. Don't let them hurt your feelings because they want to be stupid at the time.

Ignore them if they say something mean. Don't let what they say about you bother you. They are not in your brain, and they are not you. Remember they are just trying to make themselves feel better. Apparently they don't like themselves that much.

Always have a dream and a goal to get there. Don't let other people say that it is a stupid idea, great things have come from stupid ideas. We just need to learn how to make the idea something that can be real.

The most important thing to remember to help you feel good about yourself, is believe in yourself.

Be Kind

Be kind.

When ever we meet some one, become a friend with someone or just pass someone by, we need to be kind.

We need to treat each other better. There is too much meanness in the world. Stop for a moment and think about it.

We should not be mean to one another. Do not point out a persons faults, instead embrace their goodness.

It doesn't matter how much money someone has or the type of house they live in,

It doesn't matter if we are a boy or girl, or the nationality we are.

What matters is that we be kind to each other. For when we are kind, we will receive kindness back, and this makes the world a better place to live.
